Un Ponte Per has been active in Libya since 2021, with a series of initiatives aimed at building links with activists and civil society organisations, considering it central to establish alliances in the North African region. Within the framework of UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 2250, which commits states to promote the participation of youth and women in peace processes and in the definition of security practices and policies, Un Ponte Per is implementing actions to strengthen their involvement in peace processes and non-violent conflict transformation, through the creation of networks between civil society organisations in Italy, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia and Libya, focused on human rights, gender and environmental justice, allowing the exchange of good practices and the creation of synergies in the region for the promotion of advocacy and awareness-raising initiatives through trainings, conferences and round tables.
