Un Ponte Per is not directly present in Palestine, where it has chosen not to operate as an NGO in order not to be subject to the controls and restrictions imposed by the Israeli authorities. Always convinced that the Palestinian issue needs a political solution before humanitarian intervention, UPP has chosen to support local organisations and civil society for many years through civil peace interventions and non-violent accompaniment to protect the right of peasants and farmers to access their land and mitigate settler violence. After the events of 7 October 2023, and the ensuing humanitarian catastrophe generated in the Gaza Strip during the Israeli genocide, UPP chose to support its local partner UAWC through a fundraising campaign - 'Water for Gaza' - with which it is supporting Palestinian families through food and water distributions. It has been supporting the Palestinian refugee population in refugee camps in Lebanon for years, and carries out denunciation and advocacy campaigns by joining, among others, the call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel.
